It can if it's done badly. The wrong pressure, nozzle or technique can mark surfaces or strip joints, which is why we check the material, age, joints and coatings first, and use a lower pressure or different method where that's safer.

Algae, moss and general dirt usually come off well. Black spot and deep lichen can be more stubborn and results vary, so we'll tell you what's likely before we start.

A small area (about a parking space) is £120, medium around £180, large £250 and extra large £320. Larger areas, oil or rust staining, or re-sanding may need a tailored quote. The guide above has the details.

Yes please. Pots, furniture, bins and anything else on the area should be moved beforehand so we can clean the whole surface. If something's too heavy, mention it when you book.

It depends on the size of the area, access, the surface and how much build-up there is. A typical domestic driveway or patio is usually done in a few hours, but we'll confirm the likely time when we quote.

Loose or failing surfaces limit what we can safely do; high pressure can make existing damage worse. We'll assess it and tell you what method is suitable, or whether cleaning isn't sensible in that condition.

Sealing isn't included as standard. Re-sanding block paving is available as an extra, and if you'd like a surface sealed we can advise on the options separately.
